TIG welding (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode and argon shielding gas to make clean, precise welds. It is the preferred process for stainless steel railings, food and kitchen equipment, thin sheet metal and, with an AC/DC machine, aluminium. This collection includes TIG machines, torches, tungsten electrodes, filler rods, regulators and gloves.

A TIG setup needs a TIG torch, tungsten electrodes, collets and ceramic cups, filler rods and an argon regulator. Thin TIG gloves give better feel on the filler rod. For faster welding on thicker steel, see MIG welding.
