Nylon String Cutter

Nylon string cutter heads and trimmer line are used on grass cutters and string trimmers to cut grass and weeds along edges, fences and around trees. This collection has line spools, mowing heads and replacement line from Stihl, Makita, Ingco, Powerhouse, Total and others.

How to choose a nylon string head

• Fit your machine: many heads are made for specific models, such as Ingco ALS spools for the GT3501 or GBC45441. Check the thread and arbor before ordering.
• Head type: AutoCut and bump-feed heads let out more line when tapped on the ground. FixCut and fixed-line heads use pre-cut pieces.
• Line size: thicker line (2.7mm to 4.0mm) handles tough weeds, while 1.6mm to 2.0mm suits light trimmers.
• Line shape: square line cuts thick grass more aggressively, while round line wears more evenly.

Use with

Use with a grass cutter or grass trimmer. For thick brush, switch to a grass cutter blade. See more Stihl parts and nylon trimmer heads.
