Mega DC Inverter Welding Machine

Welding machines supply the current that joins steel and other metals. Fabricators, contractors, gate and grill makers and maintenance teams use them for structural steel, roofing frames, repairs and equipment fabrication. This collection includes stick (ARC/MMA), TIG, MIG and multi-process machines.

How to choose a welding machine

  • Welding process: ARC/MMA (stick) is simple and works outdoors. MIG is fast for long seams on sheet and frames. TIG gives clean, precise welds on stainless steel and thin metal.
  • Amperage: 200A machines handle 2.6mm to 3.2mm rods for home and light jobs. 300A and above run larger rods and suit daily shop work.
  • Inverter or transformer: DC inverter machines are light and portable. Commercial-type copper coil (transformer) machines are heavy but simple and rugged.
  • Power supply: check whether the machine runs on 220V or needs dual or three-phase power.
  • Safety features: VRD (voltage reduction device) lowers the open-circuit voltage when you are not welding.

Popular welding machines at KHM Megatools

Model Brand Process Good for
MINI-200AMP / MMA-350 Yamato DC inverter ARC Home, light shop and site welding
DDIW-300A / DDIW-300A PRO Daiden DC inverter ARC Daily fabrication with 3.2mm rods
ARC 200T / 200CT Hitronic DC inverter ARC, with VRD Site welding with added safety
MMA-550 TURBOMAXXplus Powerhouse DC inverter ARC, 550A Heavy rods and continuous shop work
YMG-300 Yamato MIG, ARC and TIG One machine for several processes
MIG 271 / 251S Hitronic MIG Fast welding on frames and sheet metal
300A Pure Copper Coil Yamato AC commercial type Rugged shop use with simple controls

Which process should you start with?

Most new welders start with ARC / SMAW welding because the machine and rods are affordable and work well outdoors. For thin sheet and fast production, look at MIG welding. For stainless steel and neat, precise welds, see TIG welding.

Complete your setup with an electrode holder, ground clamp and an auto-darkening helmet.

All products from KHM Megatools are genuine and covered by the manufacturer's warranty where applicable.
