Velcro (hook and loop) sanding discs stick to the sander pad and peel off in seconds, so you can change grits quickly. They are used on random orbit sanders and other disc sanders for wood, paint, filler and auto body work.
How to choose velcro sanding discs
- Size: match the disc to the pad: 5" discs, such as the Bosch, Makita, Sia and Total TAC731251, are the most common. 6" discs, such as the Sia Siarexx and Total TAC731501, suit larger sanders.
- Holes: pre-holed discs, such as the Bosch 8-hole and MaxSell 8-hole, line up with the pad for dust extraction. Net discs, such as the Bosch M480 and Sia 7900 Sianet, extract dust across the whole surface.
- Grit: start coarse to remove paint or level wood, then move to finer grits for a smooth finish.
Use with
Use with a random orbit sander and replace worn pads with a velcro backing pad. See more sanding discs and Sia abrasives.
